The ring reinforces the frame’s stability, and that functional aggregation of parts is why it is here. At 180 centimetres tall and 38 centimetres wide, it stands without needing much floor space.

Solid Canaletta walnut forms the frame, meeting brushed brass-finished metal hooks, ring and end-feet. A Carrara marble disc sits at the base, acting as a counterweight and adding weight at floor level. The pairing of warm wood and cool stone carries the detailing through from top to bottom, and the solid walnut construction should hold up to daily use at the door.
