Three slender metal legs, elliptical in section and finished with embossed coatings, support the low, wide seat of the Greta Lounge. It is part of a family that also includes matching chairs and stools, but here the proportions shift towards sitting back rather than perching at a table. At 78 centimetres high and 75 centimetres wide, the seat and armrests sit as one wrap-around cushion rather than separate upholstered parts.
That cushion is built on a hollow structure, finished with four-point capitonné stitching that holds its shape under use. The backrest floats apart from the seat, a curved, contoured cylinder upholstered to match, with the base available in various finishes to suit the fabric or leather chosen. Between the soft upholstery and the rigid metal legs, solid and empty volumes sit side by side rather than blending into one form.
