Open-plan living areas often ask a single armchair to do the work of a sofa, holding its own without extra seating beside it. The Calin XL measures 147 by 77 centimetres, generous enough to read as a proper seat in its own right. A fixed or swivel metal base lets it turn towards a window, a fire or a conversation, which is why it is here.

The backrest is curved plywood in canaletta walnut, cradling the upper cushions and giving the frame a settled stability. Seat and back are upholstered in fabric from Porada’s collection, with removable covers for daily cleaning. Three plush back cushions and two side cushions complete the chair.
