Paolo Cattelan designed the Akumal mirror with a vertical shape, sized to reflect the full human figure at 87 by 162 centimetres. Rather than a straight edge, the frame is cut with irregular curves that run its full length, setting it apart from a standard wall mirror.
The mirror is built on two levels: the upper surface is mirrored, the lower section smoked and transparent. It can be fitted with LED light, positioned to face the wall so it projects a light frame, adding a second use beyond reflection. It is available in various finishes.
