Rhode works as a modular sofa system, with seat and armrest elements that combine into different configurations as the room requires. At the end of the armrest sits a solid wood side table, and the same table can also be placed within the seating run, breaking up the line of cushions and creating a surface between modules.

Seat cushions and armrests are shaped with continuous, rounded lines, which sets the wood table against the upholstery rather than hiding it. The modular layout means individual sections can be added or rearranged, so the sofa can be built to suit the shape of the room rather than the other way round.
