The units line up side by side or stack vertically, so the bookcase can run along a wall or stand in the centre of a room as a divider between two spaces. Each unit is 100 centimetres wide and 26 centimetres deep. Designed by Studio Brogliato Traverso, that flexibility is why it is here: the same units can be configured to a doorway, an open-plan living area or a long corridor wall.
Built in metal, the vertical elements are angled, which lets light pass between them rather than closing off the view beyond. That openness matters where the bookcase stands as a room divider rather than against a wall, keeping a floor plan from feeling cut in two.
