The Cuna Lounge Low develops from Porada’s Cuna executive armchair, adapted here for living spaces rather than the office. A solid Canaletta walnut shell forms a continuous curved line around the seat and backrest, which is why it is here: the structure and upholstery work as one piece rather than a frame with cushions added on. Compared with the executive chair, the proportions are broader and the seat deeper, built for sitting rather than working at a desk.
The walnut shell is crafted as a single enveloping form, with cushions shaped to follow its curve. The chair keeps the collection’s synchronised swivel mechanism, so it turns with the body rather than staying fixed. At 73 by 80 by 78 centimetres, it suits a reading corner or a pair either side of a low table.
