Two wooden trays sit on a steel frame, with the large front wheels letting it move easily from the kitchen to wherever guests gather. A bottle compartment and a half-height open compartment, both finished in lacquered graphite, keep glasses and bottles together rather than scattered across a sideboard. We picked it for the proportion between the frame and the trays, which keeps the whole piece light on its feet in a living room rather than taking up a fixed spot.
The steel structure carries a graphite lacquer, while the trays and wheel sides are faced in the same wood, so the metal and timber read as one object rather than two materials competing. At 93.5 by 35 by 70 centimetres, it stays compact enough for everyday use without crowding the room.
