Finding balance has become an intricate art, whether in life or in the more physical manifestations of our day to day; Oracle has been described as an ‘illusion’, a ‘law bending structure of interior physics’ and even ‘a centre point.’ Oracle has an aim, one that looks to address balance in the structural form. The base is a complex piece of manufacturing, three metallic circles that meet at different angles proving that elegance can be art and that luxury can push boundaries; it is interior engineering that looks as stunning as it is thoughtful. Whilst the base is available in micaceous brown, brass, titanium and oxy grey, the top is cut to a circular shape or oval and it is available in moka oak or sucupira and Emperador marble or Niveo White marble with the rotating tray Lazy Susan, which is perfectly integrated in the table. The only way that the original Oracle design could be improved to showcase lightness, poise and balance was to keep most of what made the original Oracle unique, the base structure. Made up of three metallic circles that meet at different angles proving that elegance can be art and that luxury can push boundaries, the top has changed to something more, visual and yet invisible; glass. Oracle hasn’t let go of what made it unique it’s just rendered it more visible. Oracle shows us that rooms can find balance, it’s just a case of knowing how.

A collection of songs that smashes every chart and a furniture set that defies every convention, both have in common an intriguing name and an unconditional commitment to pursue individual creativity.

The materials are the real protagonists of the Rumors coffee tables, with marble tops. This extraordinary stone—at once exuberant, precious, eclectic, accattivating and theatrical—requires a particular sensibility in design. In each piece, three metal blades support the top from below, and cross it with clean and precise cuts, which interrupt the variegated marble veins of the rounded surface, creating contrasts, explicit and implicit, between the organic and natural lines and the rational and geometric ones .

Rumors draws from these artfully conceived contrasts, and simultaneously presents itself as a sophist’s piece of furniturecatoe a real gem of astonishing refinement. It is the same “crystal vision” that Stevie Nicks sang about in the eternal song “Dreams” by Fleetwood Mac. The cross-play between the thin graphic lines of the surfaces and thecatee sturdy stone slabs create a new and unexpected vocabulary for refined design, applicator these unique and unrepeatable pieces.

Simple ideas can sometimes be the hardest to achieve from an aesthetic perspective. A small table, like any other is just a top with four legs and yet Stijl manages to break the ordinary with an ode to some of the great geometric artists of a generation.
